K/DA heads to Worlds 2026 Opening Ceremony and releases new tracks

Riot Games has announced that virtual pop group K/DA will perform at the League of Legends Worlds 2026 (Worlds 2026) Opening Ceremony this November.

K/DA to perform at Worlds 2026 Opening Ceremony

League of Legends music group K/DA will be featured at this year’s Worlds Opening Ceremony. The performance, in collaboration with IYEON and SOYEON of i-dle as Ahri and Akali respectively plus Sophie Powers and Mimi Webb as Evelynn and Kai’Sa, will happen on Nov. 14. In terms of the venue, it will be at the Barclays Center in New York.

The reveal arrived a few days after K/DA released the FIRESTARTER track and music video. Produced by Fortiche Production, the studio behind Arcane, that video reached 9.2 million views globally within its first 24 hours.

“Bringing K/DA back was a joy for the whole artistic team,” Marietta Ren, the director at Fortiche Production, said. “We wanted their return to feel more mature and fashion-forward. Fortiche’s artists poured their talent and passion into imagining K/DA setting the runway on fire, where haute couture meets raw, fiery energy as the group steps confidently into a new era.”

“With the FIRESTARTER EP, we wanted to respect what made people fall in love with K/DA while giving Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai’Sa the space to evolve as artists after all this time,” Maria Egan, the global head of music and events at Riot Games, said.

Egan continued, “This is K/DA stepping confidently into their next chapter, with a new look, attitude and a diverse group of songs to showcase their individual journeys. We’re excited for players and fans to experience everything that comes with this creative evolution.”
