Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection Steam Update Removes Denuvo DRM, Replaces

Capcom has released a new Steam update for Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, replacing the game’s Denuvo Anti-Tamper DRM with The Enigma Protector, bringing the release in line with other recent Capcom PC releases that have made similar DRM changes after launch.

For those unaware, Denuvo DRM is an infamous third-party anti-tampering tool usually associated with making games perform worse than they should.

Set in the year 220X, the Star Force trilogy follows 11-year-old Geo Stelar, who bonds with the alien Omega-Xis and battles across an advanced society built on Wave technology. Originally debuting on the Nintendo DS in 2006 as a successor to the Mega Man Battle Network series, the Star Force games combined RPG mechanics with action combat and card-based systems.

There is a high-resolution filter, availability of cards from previous real-world events, a vast in-game gallery, and much more. Like the recent Battle Network Legacy Collection, this release fully restores online functionality, letting players trade cards and duel online.

Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
