Salasa’s New Soulful R&B Track “Sobaniite” OUT NOW

Japanese singer-songwriter Salasa will release her new track “Sobaniite” today on October 14, following her major-label debut with mixtape EP Live Bluesy in August.

Blending the warmth of R&B with her distinctive soulful sound, “Sobaniite” is a track highlighting Salasa’s ennui-filled jazzy melodies and melancholic vocals. With a gentle groove, the track drifts with a bittersweet stillness of leaves slowly turning in autumn.

Drawing from soul, R&B, rock and beyond, Salasa has carved out a sound entirely her own — one shaped by free-spirited creativity and an unconventional artistic vision. Her slightly melancholic melodies and wistful vocals define her music.

Salasa’s artistic concept is summed up by the phrase “Live Bluesy,” a message stemming from her down-to-earth and human way of living. It’s inspired by the blues, a genre born from sadness and struggle. Salasa uses this concept to transform negative feelings and experiences into creative expression. Rather than rejecting sadness or vulnerability, she embraces them as sources of creativity, giving her music a distinctive and deeply personal perspective.

With “Kaze ni Naru,” the lead track from her debut EP Live Bluesy, quickly climbing Japan’s music charts, earning features across podcasts and radio, and being selected as the official ambassador to Japan’s Record Day 2026, Salasa’s artistic journey is only just beginning. Salasa continues to turn emotion into music and invites listeners around the world to experience her uniquely “Bluesy” world.
